Kim, one of our sweet volunteers, fostered Beluga – who she now calls “Blu” – and her brother back in the summer. They are older kitties (4) who had been surrendered when their owner had to move into an assisted care facility. Beluga & Bennett are beautiful Siamese mixes but they were not adjusting well to life in the cat room. Kim took them into her home to try and reduce their stress levels and anxiety.
Beluga “Blu’s” brother unfortunately got sick and had to return to the shelter for extended care.
Blu stayed with Kim & her family where she was eventually adopted as she became a member of their family.
Kim tells me Blu follows her everywhere she goes! She sleeps with her every night and is always at Kim’s side. Even when Kim goes outside, Blu will sit at the door waiting for her until she comes back inside. She is Kim’s shadow!
Thank you Kim for taking these beautiful fur babies into your heart and home. Blu is so very lucky to be a part of your family now!
Here is a picture she sent of Blu in her forever home:
