Meet Adam Kitty!

Adam came to our location last week.  He is 4 months old and has a silky, coal-black coat & big gold eyes!  He was fostered from the time he was born to a feral mama cat.  If feral kittens are rescued at a very young age – less than 7-8 weeks old, they can be socialized and find forever homes.

Adam is a sweetie & loves to play!  But he is a little skiddish still & can get startled sometimes at quick movements or sudden noises.  But that can happen with any kitty!  We are working with him to make sure he continues making progress socializing with people and other kitties.  He’s such a special little guy!

Adam & Mr. B enjoyed playing & were fostered over Christmas together with one of our volunteers.  She has 2 other kitties & 2 children so it gave him an opportunity to be around a lot of activity & get a lot of extra attention!  He is back at the store now & ready to find his forever home!

Adam’s adoption fee during the month of December is only $75 (Reg. $100)!

PLUS, we offer a free veterinarian visit certificate with adoption (a $40 value)!  There are many vets on the affiliated vets list all over Buffalo & the surrounding suburbs – your vet is probably on the list!  We provide you with every kitties shelter medical record to take with you on the first vet visit so your vet will have the most recent medical history.

Adam has been examined by our Ten Lives Club shelter vet, neutered, treated for fleas, ear mites & worms, has all of his vaccinations up to date and tested negative for FeLeuk & FIV.

Stop in & visit Adam at Pet Supplies “Plus” in East Amherst, New York!

We are located at 9630 Transit Road, E. Amherst, NY.

For more information or questions about our adoption process, visit our Adopt A Kitty  page & fill out our contact form.

Janine Kitty In Her Forever Home!

Miss Janine came down with a kitty cold back in October.  She was fostered by a sweet lady who is a relative of one of our volunteers.  She took care of Janine while she was on her medication which turned into about a 4 -5 weeks!  By that time, Kathy had fallen in love with her & adopted her!

I met Kathy at her house to complete the adoption paperwork & visit Janine one last time.  Her new name is Jennie!  Kathy lets her have the run of the house & she sleeps on the bed with her & her dog Lady – a beautiful black lab.  Kathy said Janine rules the roost – haha!

So glad that Janine finally found her perfect forever home with Kathy!  She had been with us since July but had been fostered back in August for about a month so didn’t come back to the store until mid September.  Still!  She made herself right at home with Kathy & decided she wasn’t going ANYWHERE else – she was HOME at last!

Enjoy your wonderful forever home with Kathy sweet girl!  All our love goes with you!

Meet Nicole Kitty!

Miss Nicole is a beautiful, sweet, playful 1 year old girl who would love to find her forever home this Holiday Season!  She gets along great with other kitties and she’s very friendly.  Her beautiful green/gold eyes will capture your heart along with her adorable personality!

Nicole’s adoption fee during the month of December is only $25 (Reg. $75)!

Nicole has been examined by our Ten Lives Club shelter vet, spayed, treated for fleas, ear mites & worms, has all of her vaccinations up to date and tested negative for FeLeuk & FIV.

Stop in & visit Nicole at Pet Supplies “Plus” in East Amherst, New York!

We are located at 9630 Transit Road, E. Amherst, NY.

Frappe Update!

2 weeks ago, Mr. Frappe got sick.  He had severe diarrhea & we had to find him a foster home so he could get better.  He was taken to Millersport Small Animal Hospital in Getzville, NY to confirm his condition & for treatment.  He was started on antibiotics, given fluids & cleaned up.

His foster happens to be my Mother in Law who lives close by, but fairly new to the cat world.  Frappe needed to be pilled twice a day & this was not something my Mother in Law was comfortable with, so I would go over to give him his meds.  She has him in her upstairs bathroom – free reign of the room – and we lined the floor with newspapers until his condition got better.

I have pilled many cats in my day, but Frappe is the most difficult kitty by far!  He doesn’t lash out – bite or scratch – but trying to keep his head still & mouth open long enough to pop the pill down his throat is tricky!  He’s a strong boy at 12 lbs. & could easily do a lot of damage if he wanted to .  Luckily, he is a mellow kind of guy & hasn’t tried to bite or scratch me once!

Today, my Mother in Law tried pilling him on her own for the first time.  The last time I had been over, he was getting a *little* more cooperative & I asked her to try today.  He’s starting to get used to the routine & should be easier to manage.  She was successful!  Yea!

Frappe is doing much better & will be ready to come back to the store in a few days.  He’ll still need his meds once a day for another week or so, but totally manageable without the issues he had before.  Finding his forever home is the main objective!

Frappe is a big, beautiful 2 year old Manx mix who is very social & has a lot of love to give.  His adoption fee for the month of December is only $25 (reg. $75).  He is up to date on all of his vaccines, tested negative for FIV & Feuluk & has been neutered.

You can visit Frappe at the Pet Supplies “Plus” E. Amherst adoption location at:
